Scottish Terrier History -

The breed developed in Scotland in 1700. The dogs were bred as fierce hunters of foxes, rabbits, otters and badgers. The breed was first named the Aberdeen after the town in Scotland of the same name. The first registered dog of this breed in the United States was “Dake”.
